Bashir Ahmad, former media aide to ex-President Muhammadu Buhari, has said self-acclaimed Biafra Prime Minister, Simon Ekpa should be extradited to Nigeria after serving his jail term in Finland.
Ahmad said Ekpa should be made to face justice for the treasonable offences he perpetrated in the South-East.
He insisted that Ekpa should be punished for his role in the sit-at-home enforcement in the South-East.
Posting on X, Ahmad wrote: “After serving his jail term in Finland, Simon Ekpa should be extradited to Nigeria to face justice for his numerous treasonable offences, particularly his role in enforcing the unlawful and condemned sit-at-home orders on our brothers and sisters.”
Ekpa was arrested and remanded in prison by the Päijät-Häme District Court on suspicion of public incitement to commit a crime with terrorist intent.
The Central Criminal Police in Finland confirmed the arrest in a statement saying four individuals were arrested on suspicion of terrorist crimes.
The Police said the main suspect was arrested “on suspicion of public incitement to commit a crime with terrorist intent”, while four others were arrested “for financing a terrorist crime”
