Purpose Statement
Handle Global New Categories financial performance (expectations, results, and drivers) through the provision of high-quality management reporting, including appropriate business insights and analysis in a timely and accurate manner to a wide range of partners both internally and externally. Handle Reporting Guidance for New Categories, as well as processes and system improvement when needed, including driving data quality, for accurate and timely financial assessments, track and compare market trends and provide deeper understanding of our multi-category business, ultimately supporting balanced performance in both top-line and bottom-line results. Business Partnering both Commercial and Ops Finance supporting strategic target of our investments and resources.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide standard monthly performance dashboards to the Leadership Team and Business Partners
- Develop and supervise critical metrics for New Categories performance across products, channels, investment categories by crafting tailored Dashboards for Finance and Non-Finance partners
- Drive automation and simplification in Combustibles and NC reporting.
- Act as a key link between the Global FP&A Team and the Global New Categories Finance team
- Custodian of Global Reporting methodology and guidelines for New Categories and act as a Centre of Excellence for the End Market/Regional Units
- Ensure the New Categories Global Reporting Guidelines (Pink Book and Green Book) is maintained and kept up to date.
- Support Project Evolution from a NC point of view and roll out any system changes
- Manage projects and initiatives supporting the Head of the function to provide valuable insights
- Support the preparation of finance content for forum meetings, i.e., Management Board, Ops Com, etc.
- Deliver insightful and easy to understand presentations of financial results, highlighting risks and opportunities
- Provide high quality financial and commercial information to the business
- Enable high-quality evidence-based decision making and advice to the business
- Act as the key interface between the finance function and different areas of the business to discuss financial plans and initiatives to meet business objectives
- Identify and oversee the implementation of continuous improvement and performance excellence activities to ensure ongoing improvements in business performance
- Develop and lead a highly motivated, capable and adequately resourced team, developing talent and a performance management culture that drives value through employee engagement and successfully meets or exceeds all strategic objectives.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial assessments by driving data quality, optimizing reporting processes, and enhancing systems as needed.
- Provide strategic business partnering to Commercial and Ops Finance teams, aligning investments and resources with strategic objectives to achieve balanced growth in revenue and profitability.
- Support a deeper understanding of market trends and multi-category dynamics to drive informed decision-making

Role complexity and nature will vary dependent on part of the BAU deliverables, new projects and initiatives assigned.
II. Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Degree or equivalent experience educated with relevant professional qualification (CA / ACCA / CIMA / CPA / MBA)
- Significant experience in a global FMCG or similar dynamic operating environment.
- Detailed understanding and knowledge of relevant finance tools and systems (i.e. SAP / HFM / BI /BPC.
- Experience in analysing reports, identify issues and challenges management.
- Strong Influencing, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Experience in strategic analysis & planning and execution, performance measurements, project evaluation, commercial acuity.
- Ability to simplifying sophisticated situations and synthesise, communicate, and present complex information.
- Insightful, comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty, pro-active, collaborative, and consultative.
III. Working Relationship
- Regional / Functional Leadership Team; Regional / Functional Commercial Managers; wider Finance function.
- Business unit managers – credible and strong working relationship. Act as trusted business partner in order to challenge and support the business to improve overall performance.
- Finance Shared Services Centre (GBS) – collaborate closely with Finance Shared Service centres to provide high quality, timely management information to the business.
