The Zamfara State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Sani Mustapha, has charged the personnel of the Corps to be professional and diligent in their conduct during and after the Eid Kabir celebrations in the state.
Mustapha, who released the Operational Order for the Sallah security coverage on June 13, 2024, sternly warned all officers and men involved in the operations to abhor any acts capable of jeopardizing the peace of the celebrations.
The state NSCDC boss reiterated the resolve of the Corps to provide comprehensive security coverage before, during, and after the celebrations.
He emphasized that the Order released has shown a massive deployment of personnel to all parts of the state, especially perceived flashpoints that could harbor mischief-makers, to prevent any breach of peace during the period.
Mustapha harped on professionalism and strict adherence to rules of engagement by all personnel of the Corps.
Meanwhile, the State Commandant warned hoodlums, miscreants, and other mischievous individuals to stay away from the state during and after the celebrations, as the Corps is poised to deal ruthlessly with them within the bounds of the extant laws of the federation.
He stated that anyone who contravenes the law or is instrumental in any breach of peace in the state during and after the festive periods will be brought to book, irrespective of status.
