Adel Amrouche, Rwanda’s head coach, is aiming to do something unique with the Amavubi.
The Algerian was appointed Amavubi head coach on Sunday.
The East Africans will host Nigeria in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matchday five encounter at the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali on Friday, March 21.
Rwanda currently occupy first position in Group C with seven points from four matches.
Amrouche is upbeat that his new team can secure a place at the World Cup.
“We should believe we can do something special,” the 56-year-old declared after he began work as the new coach of the Amavubi.
“I will do all my best to achieve, but I alone do not have the magic wand, together we will make Rwanda to be the best in Africa.”
