As Rotary club all over the world marked 2024 Rotary’s Month of Peace, not fewer than four rotary clubs in Abuja collaborated with NYNNAH Foundation to render humanitarian services as they preached peace to the inmates at Suleja Correctional Centre.
Speaking while addressing inmates, the President Rotary club of Asokoro Diamond, Rtn Adeleke Shola Ayanronke said peace building is one of Rotary club focal points and will continue to partner notable organizations to preach peace to prevent conflict and build trust among citizens.
According to her, development thrive in the atmosphere of Peace, and urged inmates to embrace peace by first of all forgiving themselves and forgive others who might have offended them, and look forward to a brighter future, adding that forgiveness is the starting point for healing and recovery.
Presenting the provisions; Sachet Milk, Sachet Milo , Bathing soap, shaving Stick, toothbrush, tooth paste to the inmates, and games to kill boredom, the president urged inmates to also take the soap making skill training given to them serious as this could help them to be financially stable when they regain their freedom and reintegrated into the society, and appreciated the Rotary club Abuja metro for their unwavering supports and other Rotarians that has made the outing a reality.
Also speaking, the President, NYNNAH Foundation, Ninnah Samuel urged inmates to believe in the possibility of a brighter tomorrow, to hold onto the hope that lies within their heart, and to never give up on themselves.
“Just like everyone else, you are deserving of a second chance, of forgiveness, and of the opportunity to rebuild your life in a way that aligns with your true potential and destiny”.
On his part, the president Rotary Club Of Abuja Metro, Rtn. Jolomi Ayomike, assured inmates that Rotary club is not defining them by their past, but by the choices they make in this present moment, and enjoined them to take some moment, embrace the journey of self-improvement, seek support from those who genuinely care about their well-being, and strive to become the best version of themselves.
“Believe in yourself, have faith in your ability to change, and trust that better days are ahead. You are capable of achieving great things, of making a positive impact on the world, and of inspiring others by your resilience and perseverance.”

Abonta Emmanuel, President of Rotary Club Of Bwari represented by the club Secretary, Club’s Assistant Governor were also present to support, AG Abosede Dupe and AG Jatto Bukola.
