<p>ExxonMobil is seeking a qualified individual with PhD background to provide technology development support for a variety of projects including Conventional Oil &amp; Gas, Unconventionals and Carbon Capture &amp; Storage (CCS). The successful candidate will be responsible for working with multi-discipline teams (reservoir / geoscience / data science) to provide support in ideation, planning, documentation, development, stewardship and execution of new technologies. The position is located at ExxonMobil campus in Bangalore.  ExxonMobil will not consider qualified candidates without permanent right to work in India.</p>

<ul>
<li>The role involves a combination of technical, analytical, and project management responsibilities to drive innovation and efficiency in upstream oil and gas operations and modeling workflows, including carbon capture and sequestration applications.</li>
<li>Supporting Technology Development: Coordinate with Business Units, Project Teams and Management to assist in the development and implementation of differentiating technologies across subsurface workflows focused on reservoir modeling and simulation.</li>
<li>Technology Management: Oversee the development and management of technology solutions by facilitating the technology stage-gate process and supporting research and development efforts.</li>
<li>Process Optimization: Contribute to the design and optimization of processes and workflows for the efficient and safe production of oil and gas as well as carbon capture and sequestration, while mitigating risks.  </li>
<li>Technology Development Strategy: Work with project teams to monitor and evaluate in-house and external technology development options to advocate for and settle on optimal strategy.</li>

<p>Technical skill requirements are as follows:<br>
 </p>

<ul>
<li>Minimum PhD degree with research in related areas (preferably Petroleum, Chemical or Mechanical) and score 70% and above (equivalent CGPA)</li>
<li>Research experience in the area of reservoir modeling and simulation or technology development or process optimization or fluid flow simulation or potential application of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to integrated reservoir modeling.</li>
<li>Previous experience in analytical performance prediction, data management, and technical report writing is required.</li>
<li>Any previous industry experience in the areas of reservoir modeling and simulation studies, modeling workflows, uncertainty assessment, pressure transient test analysis will provide additional advantage.</li>
<li>Candidates should be self-motivated and focused on achieving business results through a multi-discipline team. </li>
<li>Demonstrated teamwork and communication skills are essential.</li>
</ul>
