Adefemi Gbadamosi, also known as Fola David, is a Nigerian doctor and visual artist who has created history by breaking the record for the largest drawing ever made by a single person.
The enormous piece of art, measuring an amazing 850 square meters, eclipsed the previous record of 629.98 square meters, which was held by Indian artist Ravi Soni.
On November 30, 2021, in Maharana Bhupal Stadium in India, Soni reportedly established the record. GWR claims that Soni’s record was the result of his 12th successful try.
On July 16, David started his record breaking attempt , and on July 21, he succeeded. He further cemented his place in tFehe record books by expanding his artwork to an incredible 1,000 square meters, demonstrating his unwavering ambition.
Through their distinctive clothing, dialects, cultures, and artistic manifestations, Nigeria’s numerous ethnic groups are highlighted in the artwork “Unity in Diversity.”
In an Instagram video, he said, “Hi guys, I am so happy to say that we have broken the current record, and all we have to do now is set a new one.”
During his effort, he received encouragement from celebrities and dignitaries who came to see his artistic achievement in person at the Onikan Stadium venue in Lagos.
Hilda Bassey, often known as Hilda Baci, is a well-known Nigerian cook and GWR holder who sent food and supplies to support Dr. David throughout his creative marathon.
To further boost the motivation, Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s (LP) former presidential contender for the general elections of 2023, paid a personal visit to the stadium and praised Dr. David’s work.
In addition, David has received congratulations from Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and President Bola Tinubu for his unprecedented accomplishment.
They expressed great pride and appreciation for Nigerians for this accomplishment in messages posted on their social media accounts.
Many Nigerians have been motivated to try their record-breaking efforts when Baci broke the Guinness World Record for the longest cook-a-thon in June 2023.
