The National Assembly on Monday postponed the resumption of plenary to March 21 over governorship and state Houses of Assembly elections scheduled to hold on Saturday, March 18.
A notice issued on Monday by the Clerk of the House of Representatives, Dr Yahaya Danzaria, read: “This is to inform all honourable members and the general public that the House of Representatives will resume plenary on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at 11am, as against the March 14 earlier announced. This change is intended to allow members partake in the rescheduled governorship elections. All inconveniences are highly regretted.”
Similarly, the Senate also postponed its earlier scheduled plenary to March 21.
The Clerk of the Senate, Chinedu Akubueze, announced the postponement of the plenary, in a memo on Monday.
