Mumuni Emerges Icon Of The Year 2024 – Independent Newspaper Nigeria

A chieftain of the ruling All Pro­gressives Congress, APC, Ambas­sador Dr Abayomi Nurain Mu­muni, has been bestowed with the Icon of the Year Award 2024 by the Chartered Institute of In­formation and Strategy Manage­ment (CIISM).

The prestigious award was pre­sented to Mumuni at a capacity building, induction and award cer­emony held on Friday, at the Fed­eral Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja.

The renowned international se­curity expert was the guest speak­er at the event where he spoke on the theme, “Transformative lead­ership for sustainable national growth: strategies for resilience and development.

Undoubtedly, Amb. Mumuni is a pride to Nigeria, and he has distinguished himself via his staunch commitment to the princi­ples of honesty and determination as a businessman and author of three Internationally recognized books on Security Matters, Global Terrorism and Its Effects, Demand by Terror Women in Black (Hijab and Terrorism) with over Twenty Academics Publications.

Mumuni, while speaking, ex­pressed happiness and gratitude to CIISM for deeming him worthy of the ‘Icon of the Year’, saying the recognition will spur him to do more for the nation.

He said, “Receiving the ‘Icon of the Year’ award is a moment to be cherished forever. It represents not just my achievements, but the support of my family, friends, and everyone who has been a part of my journey.

“Every step I have taken has led me to this moment, and I am grate­ful for the challenges and success­es that have shaped who I am. This award serves as a reminder that with passion, determination, and resilience, we can all make a dif­ference in the world.

“To anyone pursuing their dreams, remember that every small step counts. Let’s continue to inspire one another and strive for greatness,” he noted.

Mumuni, in his paper presen­tation, said Nigeria is undergoing challenges ranging from insecuri­ty to economic instability and re­quires visionary leaders commit­ted to delivering impactful reforms

The academician underscored the need for leaders who can in­spire confidence, implant reforms and drive economic recovery.
