It follows earlier reports that Microsoft is open to the idea of bringing Bethesda’s upcoming Indiana Jones and the Great Circle title, due for a release in December this year, to the PlayStation 5 as well.
Microsoft will talk more about Xbox games coming to other platforms
Microsoft will share more details about the titles being taken multi-platform, including Hi-Fi Rush and other Xbox exclusives, to PlayStation and the Nintendo Switch platforms next week. Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer has also hinted at this possibility in a post on X, saying that the company has been planning a business update event for next week where it will share more about its vision for the future of Xbox.
This business update event has apparently been moved forward amid speculation about the titles that may be released for other platforms. Previous reports have named Hi-Fi Rush, Sea of Thieves and Starfield among the possible games coming to PlayStation and Nintendo Switch.
We’ll likely be hearing more about this strategy during Microsoft’s business update event next week. There’s been some concern as to what Microsoft’s multi-platform strategy will be, particularly following its acquisition of Activision Blizzard, which cost the company $68.7 billion.
