Soccer legend, Lionel Messi, 35, is set to play his final game for Paris Saint-Germain against Clermont Foot on Saturday as club coach, Christophe Galtier, confirms the Argentine’s exit.
Galtier confirmed this on Thursday in a press conference, saying, “Clermont Foot will be Messi’s final game at PSG. I had the privilege of coaching the best player in the history of football. It will be Leo’s last match at the Parc des Princes.
“‘I hope that he will be welcomed in the best way.”
Messi joined PSG after financial issues with Barcelona in 2021 and has won a pair of Ligue 1 titles.
Rumours have it that the World Cup winner would sign a deal with Saudi side Al-Hilal and Messi’s father, Jorge, was quick to dispel such rumours.
Jorge said, “There is absolutely nothing with any club for next year. The decision will never be made before Lionel finished the league with PSG.
“Once the season is over it will be time to analyse and see what is there, and then make a decision.”

I feel pity for Messi. He doesn’t deserve to be treated badly the way PSG and fans have treated him since joining club. I think he should go back to Barca where he is valued.
