Tottenham Hotspur new boy Lucas Bergvall believes that having another Swede in the form of Dejan Kulusevski at the London club will give him a sense of security in his new surroundings.
Spurs have agreed a deal with Swedish club Djurgardens to sign the player in the summer for a fee approaching £8.5m.
At the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the 18-year-old will see his countryman Kulusevski, a presence that assures the teenager.
According to Bergvall, Kulusevski is a warm personality whom he has known for a long time.
And the presence of the 23-year-old will give Bergvall a sense of security which he feels is going to be necessary initially.
“Dejan is an incredibly good footballer but also a warm person. I’ve known him since before”, Bergvall told Swedish daily Aftonbladet.
“So it is absolutely security to go there and know that there’s another Swede there.”
The former Juventus man will be someone to depend on and ask questions of if needed, feels the young midfielder.
“Then you have someone to depend on and ask questions.”
Bergvall has so far managed 29 first-team appearances for Djurgarden making four goal contributions.
Much is expected of the teenager, who has already been capped by Sweden.
