Liverpool attacker Mohamed Salah will be making a surprise appearance on Sunday
Liverpool star Mohamed Salah is set to make an appearance at the Sharjah book fair in the United Arab Emirates this week. The 32-year-old wasn’t included in the upcoming international break for Egypt with their Africa Cup of Nations qualification secured.
The Reds forward is facing uncertainty over his future at Anfield, with his contract expiring in the summer, but he is showing no signs of slowing down after helping Liverpool to the top of the Premier League on the eve of the international break.Salah netted his eighth league goal of the season in their 2-0 win over Aston Villa with Arne Slot’s side going five points clear at the top-flight summit.
In a post on Instagram, it was announced that Salah will be in Sharjah for their international book fair on November 17 at 7pm (3pm UK time). The event is seen as a cultural and literary hub for the region and is one of the world’s biggest book fairs with over 400 literary events such as writing workshops, poetry and book signings.

Salah is said to be set to discuss the role of reading in shaping his career and personal life. Supporters will be handed an opportunity to hear his personal story, plus how his passion for books has helped his journey on and off the pitch.
In a video released on the official Liverpool YouTube channel, the Egyptian expressed his disdain at how the Reds are viewed as underdogs. He said: “Win it all. In my opinion, I work so hard every day, I hate the idea that we are underdogs.
“No, we have an incredible group … In each position, you’re gonna find players that are really one of the top three in the world. So, why we don’t win it? This city and this club has to always fight for everything.”
