“Let’s give Mr President more chance to fix the country” – Actor Lege Miami appeals to Lagos youths as he kicks against the upcoming planned protest (Video)

Nollywood actor Adams Kehinde, better known as Lege Miami, is the latest celebrity to weigh in on the upcoming protests against the economic hardship in the country.

It is no longer news that Nigerians are planning to protest on August 1st against the government and the increasing prices of foodstuff.

Reacting to it, Lege Miami, in a video he posted on his Instagram page, admonished Youths in Lagos to step back from the protest as he appealed to them to give the President a chance to fix the country.

He noted how things are very expensive; however, he believes the President can fix it and just needs more time with Nigerians. Citing another reason why he is against the protest, he noted how many youths will use the protest to cause havoc to the government. Lege added that there is no protest in Lagos, especially since he can attest that the Governor is doing well.

“We aren’t protesting in Lagos. Please let’s give Mr President more chance to fix the country. Please, don’t be choked. I know that it isn’t easy and things are getting more expensive than when we left.

Mr President, please look out for the food. Foodstuff is very expensive for the pøor people. His team should work on that. But we aren’t protesting in Lagos because other people want to use it against this government.

All Youths wise up; let’s pray for a better Nigeria. Let’s support Mr President, Ashiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. We aren’t protesting in Lagos, and let’s not forget the Governor of Lagos is trying as well. Please, thank you, everyone, and God bless you”.

Similarly, actress Tonto Dikeh had written a letter to Nigerians against embarking on a protest. She stated that she understands their frustration and concerns regarding the current state of their nation; however, she believes that the approach of a nationwide protest may not be the most effective method.

Tonto suggested establishing a representative group that can meet with the President and advocate on their behalf. She added that the economic burden affects them all, and it is essential to address these challenges through peaceful and diplomatic channels.

In other news, months back, in a video message to Nigerians, Lege made an earnest plea to the public, asking them to stop asking him for money. He stated clearly in the video that he was not connected to any political figure or related to President Tinubu.

The actor expressed his frustration, egging people to stop soliciting money from him and admitted that he was not as affluent as people might think and was, in fact, poor.
