West Ham United will have a board meeting which will be concluded ‘in the next 72 hours’ to decide the future of Julen Lopetegui, according to ExWHUemployee.
Â
Lopetegui is now under massive pressure after West Ham were well beaten 3-1 by Leicester City on Tuesday night in the Premier League.
Â
The Foxes got a bounce under new boss Ruud van Nistelrooy and West Ham were unable to make the chances they did create at the King Power Stadium count.
Â
Â
No decision has been made about Lopetegui’s future, but the club will have a board meeting to discuss it and it will be concluded ‘in the next 72 hours’ to decide his future.
Â
West Ham are already considering who might come in to replace the Spaniard, even if that is on a short-term basis until the end of the season.
Â
Â
However, there is real reluctance at the club to sack Lopetegui too quickly as they are keen for him have every chance to turn things around.
Â
The former Wolves boss only took over in the summer, succeeding David Moyes.
Â
Â
The final decision will come down to West Ham supremo David Sullivan, who is known to like to stick by his managers if possible.
