WWE Royal Rumble 2025 lived up to the expectations of the fans worldwide after the live event took place Saturday in front of a record crowd at Indiana’s Lucas Oil Stadium. Veterans John Cena, CM Punk and Roman Reigns were among the most likely candidates to win the men’s Rumble match but tag team specialist Jey Uso seized the glory to the surprise of many. Returning from a 13-month layoff, Charlotte Flair won the women’s Rumble for the second time. She eliminated runner-up  Nia Jax, who had already eliminated eight women from the bout, to seal her place at Wrestlemania.

In another spectacular contest, Cody Rhodes retained his WWE Championship and inched closer toward a third straight WrestleMania main event after overcoming a spirited Kevin Owens in a brutal ladder match. From former ‘SHIELD’ allies Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns sparring to Trish Stratus and YouTuber IShowSpeed making surprise entries, Royal Rumble 2025 was packed with satisfying moments and twists. Jey Uso’s date with history

Jey Uso won the men’s Royal Rumble by eliminating John Cena. The two stars went over the ropes and fought on the edge of the ring when Cena managed an Attitude Adjustment set up. Just when the seasoned campaigner looked on course for his third Royal Rumble win, Jey Uso broke loose to reenter the ring and push Cena out from behind. Shocked to the core, John Cena took some time to gather himself but later he went back in to congratulate the winner.

“THE LAST TIME IS NOW”

John Cena displayed a message before the camera as he made his entry into the ring as contestant number 23. He thanked the fans before making his way into the ring, well cheered on by the Indiana crowd. Although the 16-time World Champion fell painstaking close to another WrestleMania main event opportunity at his final Rumble match, the 47-year-old later did confirm that he would take part in the Elimination Chamber 2025 in the hope of winning a record-shattering 17th Championship!

Cody Rhodes destroys a valiant Kevin Owens

A brilliantly executed and highly satisfying match to conclude the rivalry between the two hardworking stars, the ladder match peaked when the defending champion Alabama Slammed Owens through a ladder propped between the ring and table. The table folded in half, and so did Owens as his head went between the rungs. Cody Rhodes retrieved his belts as a bleeding Owens, who remained weak, was moved by referees.

Seth Rollins vs Roman Reigns vs CM Punk?

Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns and CM Punk as at each other’s throats, not figuratively after being eliminated from the men’s Rumble match. Rollins hit his former ally with two deadly curb stomps.

He didn’t leave Punk (who managed to eliminate them both) alone as well and with Paul Heyman in the mix of things, a storyline may emerge ahead of WrestleMania with all four of them at the centre.

Charlotte Flair wins another Royal Rumble

NXT’s Roxanne Perez emerged as a surprise runner-up but Charlotte Flair was at her charismatic best, kicking the youngster off the apron in style, not long after having ended Nia Jax’s stay in the ring. Jax had taken out eight including Trish Stratus. Charlotte, who was entree number 27, is the first woman to register two Rumble wins under her belt.
