Latest Liverpool transfer news and gossip with updates on Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite and Palmeiras centre-back Vitor Reis
Liverpool will be looking ahead to a return to Premier League action after the international break. The Reds went into the first hiatus of the season on the back of a convincing win over Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Arne Slot’s team next have Nottingham Forest at Anfield before travelling to face AC Milan in the Champions League when club football returns later this month. Before then, though, several members of the Liverpool squad will be travelling across the globe representing their respective national teams.
When Liverpool return to action, they will be hoping to build on the 100 percent start to the Premier League season with three wins from three so far. The Reds will also have new signing Federico Chiesa at their disposal following his arrival from Juventus before the transfer deadline last month.

Jarrad Branthwaite linked
Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite.
According to Football Insider, the Reds have a “concrete” interest in signing the Blues centre-back. The report claims that Branthwaite, who was also wanted by Manchester United in the summer, is a target for Liverpool and could make a move in the future.
The ECHO reported last month that Liverpool and Everton have not held any talks about a potential transfer for Branthwaite. As a result, it has not seemed likely that the Reds would look to pursue a deal for the Blues centre-back anytime soon.
Liverpool ‘scout’ defender
Liverpool are reportedly one of several clubs showing an interest in signing Palmeiras defender Vitor Reis.
According to Caught Offside, there is “growing interest” from Premier League clubs, including Liverpool, in a move for Reis in the future. It has been stated that the Reds will face competition from Arsenal as well as Barcelona and Real Madrid for the 18-year-old’s signature.
The report claims that Liverpool have sent scouts to watch Reis in action for Palmeiras in recent months and have been impressed with what they have seen. The young centre-back has been tipped to be one of Brazil’s most talented defensive prospects.
