Interviews should be a two way thing. I believe when interviewing, the interviewer should be willing to share some information about the company they are interviewing for. I mean while you’re searching for the most suitable and qualified candidates, the candidates are also searching for the most suitable and qualified company to work for. Some candidates are seeking to leave their current employer for reasons such as toxic work culture and environment, exploitation, underutilization etc. It is very important that you answer some of their questions and take the opportunity to market the company you’re recruiting for. The motivation and morale of a talented candidate to choose your company is sometimes planted during the interview process. There’s no use presenting yourself as a god and they as mere subjects who are to be scared once you step in. Tell a candidate why they would want to work with and remain loyal to your company, this has been my strategy and has helped me take organizations from a very high employee turn over rate to a place where employees recommend the company to others.
