Nollywood actor Lateef Adedimeji isn’t allowing his loss at the just concluded AMVCA award ceremony to weigh him down.
The movie star was nominated for Best Lead Actor for his exceptional role in Femi Adebayo’s movie, Jagun Jagun; unfortunately, he lost the award.
Taking to his Instagram page, Lateef stated that despite his loss, he went home with many wins, good vibes, positive energy and accolades.
He expressed how happy he was to see many rooting for him and described it as absolutely fulfilling. He went on to appreciate Africa Magic and the Jagun Jagun team.
“I went home with so many wins tonight! Oh, the good vibes! The positive energy! The accolades! The love! seeing y’all root for LATEEF ADEDIMEJI “GBOTIJA of JAGUN JAGUN.”

Kemi Filani reported that after the news of his AMVCA nomination broke out, his wife, Mo Bimpe, had described it as the most sensational birthday gift to her.
She expressed pride in her husband as she stated that she was never in doubt of him as she noted how his hard work, dedication, and professionalism have never gone unnoticed.
Last year, Lateef had expressed excitement at receiving an award for Jagun Jagun.
Taking to his Instagram page to share a clip from the ceremony, he stated that being honoured on stage alongside the gods of Nollywood was one of the highlights of his career. He vowed never to forget the moment, which he was proud of.
Recall that Femi Adebayo, the movie producer, had recalled how Lateef’s accident inspired the cast and commanded the set. He acknowledged his resilience spirit that inspired the cast, noting how he delivered his best despite his accident.
While speaking about his role in the movie, Lateef Adedimeji broke down in tears as he expressed gratitude to Femi Adebayo for his encouragement when he felt like giving up.
Mo Bimpe had also shared the touching story behind her husband’s phenomenal role. She recounted how her husband broke his leg on day one of filming and thought he was going to delay production.
Praising him, she crowned him her Superhero and cheered on him for his hard work, dedication, determination, and talent.
