Veteran Nollywood Actor, Segun Arinze has shared insights into his personal life, disclosing that he remained single for 12 years before remarrying.
This revelation came during an interview with Chude Jideonwo on ‘withChude’.
In the interview, Arinze discussed various personal and professional challenges, including his public divorce from actress Anne Njemanze in 2010, the subsequent depression he experienced, career setbacks due to being blacklisted by Nollywood, and family issues, particularly his decision to stay silent after being called out by his daughter on social media.
Arinze, famous for his role in “Silent Night,” which earned him the nickname “Black Arrow,” remarried Julie Arinze in 2008 before finalizing his divorce from Njemanze. Recently, the couple celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary and have three children together, two boys and a girl.
With a career spanning over three decades, Segun Arinze has transitioned from music to acting, becoming one of Nollywood’s most esteemed actors. His contributions to the Nigerian film industry include over 250 movie roles, numerous awards, and serving as the President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria.
