Nigerian singer, Omah Lay has been left overwhelmed with joy after his senior colleague, Davido publicly acknowledged his song for the first time.

In a viral video, Davido while hanging out with famous American online streamer, Kai Cenat, gave accolades to Omah Lay. In the clip, Davido was driving around town with Kai Cenat as they listened to Omah Lay’s song, Reason. Davido was seen hyping the song as Kai Cenat sarcastically stated that he was scared of Omah Lay so he wouldn’t rock his girlfriend as he did in one of his concerts.

Taking to the micro-blogging platform Twitter now known as X, Omah Lay, who was left shocked by public acknowledgement expressed disbelief that Davido was vibing to his music. He stated that he always thought Davido hated him.

Days back, Omah Lay took to his Twitter to make a singular request to God.

This request was a financial one and took a lot of netizens by surprise because of his musical standing in the Afrobeat scene. The singer pleaded with his Maker that he needed more money.

In a different news, Omah Lay created a stir online following an interview where he admitted that he used to be religious, till he gained fame and started making money and now has backslid.

The Damn singer narrated his growing up days in a Christian home and how at some point in his life, he contemplated converting to Islam.

Though he is no longer religious, he still believes in God but has chosen to place humanity over religion. He further buttressed his point by making some biblical observations.
