Popular internet fraudster, Ramon Abbass also known as Hushpuppi, in an attempt to reduce his jail sentence opened up about his fraudulent career.
Remember that the fraudster, who was extradited from Dubai and has been imprisoned in the United States since June 2020, is scheduled to receive his ultimate sentence on Monday, September 19.
Hushpuppi appealed to Judge Otis D. Wright in a handwritten letter that the Peoples Gazette was able to get, stating that he had only received $300,000 from his involvement in the crimes he has been charged with.
According to him, he became rich through his business which he started 25 years ago, selling sneakers and clothing from his car trunk to owning his boutique across the city and beyond.
He noted that his business was registered with the name, ‘MONEABBAS NIG LTD’ and he joined the photo and video sharing app, Instagram, in 2012 to share his style online.
Hushpuppi added that his business became successful and expanded into luxury fashion, real estate, automobile sales and entertainment deals.
According to a check, Hushpuppi registered Moneabbas Nigeria Ltd with the Nigerian Corporate Affairs Commission on August 4, 2016, The Peoples Gazette reported.
Hope he has learnt his lesson that everyday for the thief, one day for the owner
