Naming ceremony vs Child’s dedication

A man and his wife have been arguing on whether to do naming ceremony or child dedication in the church for their child.
So, i will like to ask, Naming ceremony or Child's dedication which is better?

Me i think the most important thing is to give your child a name and train him in the ways of the Lord from infancy. Dedicating a little child who does not know anything yet is of no importance. My opinion though.
