Is it a must for a Christian to go to church every Sunday?

Where I'm serving in cross river state, a student of mine who is also living close to my lodge asked me this morning why I don't frequent the church.
So is it a must for a Christian to go to church every Sunday?
Is going to church the prerequisite for righteousness?

Going to church has nothing to do with being righteous, but a christian must attend a place of worship and gather with others to learn from the Bible the true teachings of the Bible. Unfortunately, many pastors and so-called men of God today does not know the truth and not teaching the truth and thats why we have a society of church goers who are not doing the will of God.

Yes. It’s a must to go to church every Sunday. The bible says we shouldn’t forsake the gathering of the brethren.
