How long can replacement batteries last?

I contacted a laptop battery seller recently and he told me that he has replacement and "follow come". I believe the follow come should be the original but the price tag was out of my budget so I am planning to settle for the replacement battery. Now my question is are these replacement batteries reliable? How long can they last?

It all depends on the manufacturer, the power rating and the specific ones recommended by the maker of the laptop. It may not be a follow come but if its the kind that is recommended, it can still work well although most chinko replacement are not good enough.
ProfTThanks, I eventually got the replacement battery, the name is H2SO4 which i believe is generic and it doesn’t have any HP branding. My major concern now is that the battery capacity has dropped from 100% to 82.7% under 1 month of usage. Do you think it will last upto 6 months at this rate?
