Merseyside is not expecting any snow but temperature are set to drop very soon
Merseyside temperatures are expected to plummet to 0°c very soon. This week, the region has been battered by heavy and persistent rain and according to a weather map, things are only getting worse.
Temperatures have been in and around the 10 degrees mark over the last few days and are expected to continue the same into the weekend. However, from Wednesday, October 2, it is thought it will be a lot colder.
The WXCharts are predicting a significant downturn in conditions as we move into the winter months, as reported by The Mirror. There is reportedly set to be a harsh weather front sweeping across areas like the Highlands, Perth and Kinross and Stirling.

Whereas regions such as Cairngorms, Ullapool, Inverness, and Fort William are gearing up for snowfall, while the Lake District in England can also expect to find a light dusting. Merseyside is not forecast to have any snow in the coming weeks but temperatures are set to drop.

It comes as the Met Office issued a weather warning for the UK for today, Thursday, September 26. The weather warning said in light of the expected heavy rain, some disruption, particularly to travel, could occur.
The yellow warning is in place for the whole day as the National Weather and Climate Service predicts there is a “slight chance” of power cuts. It also said there could be a loss of other services to some homes and businesses, and the possibility of buildings becoming flooded or damaged.
The Met Office added: “Where flooding occurs, there is a slight chance of delays or cancellations to train and bus services. Spray and flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures and there is a small chance that some communities will become cut off by flooded roads.”
