I listed an avatar on opensea: needed some MATIC. Purchased from CB. Crap, can’t send MATIC on polygon, only ethereum. Purchased some Eth instead and swapped to MATIC on polygon via bridge. Pretty quick and simple.
The exciting times of actually selling the avatar! Nice! Now time to cash out. Paid in wETH on polygon, need to bridge to Ethereum. This is where the biggest frustration comes. To use the official polygon bridge it took my transaction around 4 hours to complete. Others waited 7 hours, 10 or even more! I know you could use third party bridges, but hell do I know or the average Joe user if a bridge is legit and not a scam?!
The entire time I have sent money from my wallet and waited on the official bridge. I was getting so stressed and nervous that my palms were sweaty, knees weak and you could say my arms were heavy. 🍝
What do you think? Do we just accept these wait times? Do we say ‘hey we’re early!’? Or try finding other blockchain solutions?
Many believe that the impact is temporary and will not affect the market in the long run. Since these investors are already transferring their assets, yet they are still into crypto.
The waiting time for these coins is not giving them a positive recommendation. We live in a world of uncertainty and nobody is ready to wait for such transactions and more so we should not forget this is a strictly online transaction where anything can happen to your fund without anybody to hold responsible.
