Arsenal have confirmed that the club has decided to terminate Nicolas Pepe’s contract.
In an official statement on Saturday, the Gunners announced that the 28-year-old has left the Emirates.
Pepe has agreed a short-term contract with Turkish outfit Trabzonspor.
The Ivorian winger spent last season on loan with Nice in Ligue 1 before returning to north London earlier this summer.
However, it quickly became clear that he wasn’t part of Mikel Arteta’s plans for the 2023–24 campaign.
Arsenal’s statement reads in part: “We can confirm that Nicolas Pepe is leaving the club. We have agreed with Nicolas to terminate his contract with immediate effect.”
Arteta should have kept him as a replacement for saka. Saka is gradually getting worn out.
