BIRNIN-KEBBI – A civil society organisation operating in Kebbi state, Initiative for Transparency and Justice (IFTAJ), has called on both Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris and Adamu Aliero, senator representing Kebbi Central to use the occasion of Sallah to improve on their human capacity building like they did during Ramadan.
The General secretary, of the organisation, comrade Usman Muhammed Anache , in statement stated that, the organisation remains apolitical hence the reason to greet both leaders from different parties on the occasion of sallah and the successful completion of Ramadan fast.
The statement added, both of them during Ramadan have distributed palliatives to their people to aid them ease the ramadan feeding problem considering the economic situation in the country.
While, we congratulate you and people of Kebbi state, we wish to urge you to sustain the good gesture beyond Ramandan “we are aware that, Senator Aliero right before Ramadan fast gave out solar powered refrigerators to widows and vulnerable women in the state, and tricycles to hundreds of youth in Kebbi central as assistance for self reliance he said.
On the hand, the governor of Kebbi state, Dr Nasir Idris distributed food items worth N 12bn and successfully distributed to the people of Kebbi, aside free fertilisers and power tillers to Kebbi farmers to ensure food security among other development strides within ten years in office saying we are commending them to encourage them do more to their people and to sustain the tempo of humanitarian services ” we wish to reiterate that our CSO remains apolitical but will always identify with everything good even as we frown at subjugation of justice and lack of public transparency”.
