Derby County new boy Ben Osborn has admitted that being recognised in Morrisons caught him off guard, but he is now settled as a Rams star.
Rams boss Paul Warne wanted to introduce experience and depth in his midfield this summer and identified Osborn as the right fit.
The 30-year-old experienced midfielder joined his hometown club Derby on a free transfer from Sheffield United.
Osborn revealed that it took time for it to sink in that he is a Derby player now and stated Rams fans caught him off guard a few times at Morrisons.
The Derby star also added that he has adapted so well that it feels like he has been with the club for a while and admitted that he is now fully used to his life as a Rams star.
When asked whether he has become used to his new club, Osborn told Rams TV: “Yes, I would say so.
“I mean you adapt pretty quick don’t you and I feel like I have been here quite a while already. So yes, fully used to it now.
“It caught me off guard a few times when I was in Morrisons, getting recognised and stopped all the time, and I am like, right that is going to happen now, I play for Derby.
“So yes, all used to it.”
Osborn has featured four times for Derby already in the Championship and he will be determined to help Warne’s side finish as high as possible in the league table this season.
