They just want to fustrate this goverment
I want Nigerians to understand that we have no food crises at all. As it is, Nigeria feed the entire West Africa. Do your investigation. The problem is that some media houses are in collaboration with the opposition to bring this Government down. God forbid. Politics of bitterness is our undoing. It must be me syndrome. I honestly thought Jide will turn around one day. That looks unlikely now.
Why did you call trading with other foreign countries smuggling. Govt is not subsidizing food production, Govt is not tackling the insecurity issues faced by farmers. Govt is not addressing the high cost of fertilizers. Govt is not rolling out assistance to encourage large scale farming. Yet you expect the farmers to sell their produce in a market they considered unprofitable. I heard from your mouth some month back on this same program that our only source of revenue is Oil. People have started exporting food and you are in the studio complaining again.
See, another raining season is around the corner, talk to your people in Govt to go into food production so that in the next 8 month, Nigeria will be net exporter of food. We consume rice from Indonesia, Thailand in Nigeria. How do they get here if their Govt. branded it as smuggling.
But Babajide do you know that the ECOWAS protocols allow for free movement of people, goods añd services across our common borders. How do you relate this to free trade agreements or treaty
On the hunger side there's this quote I love alot " a country is only ever one meal from a revolution"
