Chelsea midfielder, Cole Palmer, has been named the England Men’s Player of the Year for 2023-24.
This was confirmed by the English Football Association on Tuesday.
Palmer won the prize ahead of Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham and Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka, who finished second and third, respectively.
Since making his debut for the Three Lions in November 2023, Palmer has made an instant impact for his national team.
Despite not starting a game in the competition, the 22-year-old scored his first England goal in their 2-1 Euro 2024 final defeat to Spain and also set up Ollie Watkins’ winner in the semi-final against the Netherlands.
Palmer has also been in fine form for the Blues, scoring 22 Premier League goals last season and six goals in seven games to start this campaign.
He deserves it.
