<p>Cold Lake’s <a href="https://www.imperialoil.ca/-/media/Imperial/Files/Indigenous-internship-program-brochure-2019.pdf">Indigenous Internship Program</a> is an opportunity for local Indigenous candidates to gain practical, hands-on work experience at our Cold Lake operation. Interns will be trained and mentored in a supportive work environment.</p>

<p>A Plant Operator position through the Indigenous Internship Program is available at Imperial's Cold Lake, Alberta location. The city of Cold Lake is located in the western Canadian province of Alberta. It is approximately 294 km (180 miles) northeast of Edmonton, 170 km (100 miles) north of Lloydminster, and 588 km (375 miles) northeast of Calgary. The area offers all major amenities without crowds and traffic, world class recreational facilities and numerous types of outdoor activities. This is NOT a fly in/out opportunity and camp are not provided. Relocation to the Cold Lake area is required.</p>

<p>This is an excellent opportunity to progress towards Power Engineering certification. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring, sampling and troubleshooting process equipment for the assigned units.</p>

<li>While working under the supervision of an experienced mentor you will perform various duties as required by your select area of employment following all Imperial Safety, Security, Health &amp; Environmental (SSHE) policies.</li>
<li>Maintain the housekeeping standard for the shop and work areas</li>
<li>Focus on "Best Practices" implementation and development</li>
<li>Rotate through field and plant units</li>
<li>Participate in the proactive safety program</li>
<li>Take responsibility for costs within area of control</li>

<li>High school diploma or GED equivalent is mandatory.</li>
<li>Depending on the position, commitment to obtaining a 4th Class or 3rd Class Power Engineering Certificate.</li>
<li>Valid Class 5 driver's license and comfortable driving a pick-up truck.</li>

<p><b>Eligibility to work in Canada:</b><br>
