A club keen on landing one of Liverpool’s stars believe that the Reds will play ball and they will be able to land the player before the transfer window closes.
Despite just appointing a new manager in Arne Slot, Liverpool have failed to make a single signing so far this summer.
Players have been linked with an exit from Anfield, including Ryan Gravenberch and Sepp van den Berg, and the Dutch defender is wanted by PSV Eindhoven.
Van den Berg has himself insisted that he is keen to move and indicated that he is being overpriced by the Merseyside giants, who want €20m.
Liverpool are intent on sticking to their asking price but PSV are not keen to end their pursuit of the defender yet.
According to Dutch daily the Eindhovens Dagblad, PSV believe that signing Van den Berg is possible this month.
The Dutch outfit believe Liverpool will also need to sell players if they want to bring in new faces.
Van den Berg is one of the players that could be moving on this month and PSV remain vigilant of a prospective deal.
However, they are ready to turn to their other targets if they realise that a deal would not be possible.
