Chidimma Ekile, a popular Nigerian musician, has revealed the reason behind her decision to stop singing secular music. Chidimma gained fame after winning Project Fame in 2010, but she recently admitted that she felt unfulfilled in her career.
In 2021, Chidimma announced that she had become a Minister of God and vowed to never return to secular music. In a YouTube video she posted on Wednesday, the ‘Kedike’ crooner explained that she felt empty and needed to reconnect with her source, which was God.
“I was searching for fulfillment, but I couldn’t find it until I reconnected with my source,” she stated in the video.
Chidimma’s decision to leave secular music and focus on her faith has been met with mixed reactions, but she seems confident in her choice. The singer is currently working on gospel music and has stated that she hopes to inspire others through her music.
