Manchester United legend, Teddy Sherringham, has warned Chelsea owner under the leadership of Todd Boehly against signing former Manchester United forward, Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ronaldo has been linked with a January transfer move to Chelsea since his contract with Man United was terminated a few days ago.
However, Sherringham believes the Portugal captain would send out the wrong message straight away should Boehly sign him for Chelsea.
According to him, Ronaldo is not a good move for Chelsea manager, Graham Potter, adding that the 37-year-old would want a full say on what happens at Chelsea.
“I don’t think Ronaldo is a good move for Graham Potter at all. Not so early in his Chelsea career to be dictated who comes in,” Sherringham told BoyleSports.
“He obviously wants to have a full say on what happens at the club and that would send out the wrong message straight away.”
He added: “Football surprises you every day and you don’t know what could happen next, so who knows?”
