Casemiro earned Manchester United a point with a stoppage-time equaliser as Chelsea were left stunned at Stamford Bridge.
It was far from a thrilling encounter in west London, though United had much the better of the first-half as Marcus Rashford and Antony failed to make the most of big chances.
With the match looking destined to finish goalless after a tight second period, Armando Broja was dragged down from a corner with five minutes remaining and the referee pointed the spot, with Jorginho typically composed in sending David de Gea the wrong way.
But in the fourth-minute of added-time, Casemiro’s header beat Kepa and just about crossed the line, as it finished all square at Stamford Bridge.
Buoyed by their midweek win over Tottenham, United made a confident start at Stamford Bridge and put Chelsea under real pressure. Kepa Arrizabalaga turned behind an effort from Antony before rushing off his line to deny Rashford, as the Blues struggled to get any sort of control.
So dominant were United that Graham Potter turned to his bench after just 36 minutes to make a tactical change, bringing off Marc Cucurella as Mateo Kovacic was introduced to bolster the midfield.
Chelsea certainly improved from that point but United should have taken the lead just before the break, as Bruno Fernandes put Antony clean through, though on his unfavoured right foot the Brazilian sliced his shot wide.
It was a far more cagey second-half, as Fred was brought on to further pack the midfield. United suffered a worrying blow as Raphael Varane limped off, the Frenchman in tears with his thoughts surely on the World Cup next month.
Trevoh Chalobah came close to breaking the deadlock from a set-piece, as he beat Fred in the air at the back post but his header flicked off the top of the bar. United’s attacking output was increasingly limited to Fernandes trying his luck from distance.
Jorginho seemingly won it for the Blues in the final minutes, as Scott McTominay brought Broja down in the box just a couple of minutes after coming on. The Italian made no mistake from the spot.
But Casemiro delivered in front of the away end, his superb header coming off the inside of the post and crossing the line by a matter of inches.

Well deserved draw from United. I like their fighting spirit tonight. They played with a high level of seriousness and commitment that has been lacking in the team for some time now
