We think we probably know what you’re thinking: that you’re in love – assuming, obviously, that you have a thing for classic Chevrolet Chevelles. Mind you, since you are reading these lines, which are dedicated to a special 1970 copy, you are into this model, so grab a seat (unless you’re already lying down) and open a back of snacks, as it will be a rather long one.

First and foremost, we will remind you that this awesome machine is part of the second generation. Some say it’s the best-looking Chevelle ever made, whereas others might argue that its predecessor has more character or its successor is a far better choice. We’d say the second-gen is the one to go for in terms of looks, which this example has plenty of.Second, let’s remind ourselves about the firepower. Most Chevelles born from 1967 to 1972 have a V8 engine under their hoods. The eight-cylinder offering was vast. It depended on the specification and model year, and the largest displacement offering was a 7.4L mill. Straight-six units were also part of the offering, yet no one wants that in their classic ride today, right?

As for this stunning 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle, it packs something quite different. If you paid attention to the title, you already know we’re talking about an LS motor. It is an LS3 V8 that breathes air from behind the double grille flanked by dual round headlamps. It is paired with a 6-speed auto ‘box that delivers the thrust to the wheels.

Reporting on the car’s oily bits does not end here, as it also boasts power disc brakes sourced from the C6 Corvette, power steering, a cold air intake, an independent suspension, a dual exhaust system, long tube headers, a Schwatrz custom frame, and a few other goodies. The Foose 18-inch chrome wheels have 275/35 Toyota Proxes Sport tires at the front and 275/40 at the rear.

The Chevelle’s exterior has a shiny red paint finish and black dual racing stripes. It also sports the usual chrome appointments on multiple components and has a few modifications at both ends that make it look more aggressive.

Step foot inside, and you will see a black over suede leather interior with a custom center console, Dakota digital gauges, a custom steering wheel with tilt adjustment, an aftermarket radio to play your favorite tunes, and a few other things. Vintage air conditioning is also on deck so that you won’t sweat when driving this dreamy classic ride on a hot summer’s day. We may be a bit too excited about this phenomenal build, but we think the cockpit looks better than the iconic Mustang Eleanor’s.

This 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle restomod has only covered 1,091 miles (1,756 km) since it was completed. Even if some of those miles were probably on the smoky side of things, it is still a brand-new classic ride that is eager to hit the road again, with its new owner holding that sexy steering wheel and giving it some gas every now and then. After all, this old-timer can turn gasoline into noise like a champ.

While you may be able to find a second-gen Chevelle for pennies on the dollar, high-end ones tend to cost six digits. This one is no exception, as it will cost its future owner $249,900. That’s used modern-day supercar territory, so whoever buys it will pretty much have to be obsessed with this model and appreciate the countless hours of work that went into it.

Now, this 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle may not be the kind of ride for most of us, as if we had a quarter of a million dollars to blow on a set of wheels, chances are most of them would pick up something more modern, preferably from Lamborghini, Ferrari, or other exotic car manufacturer.
