Carl Benz: The Father of Automobiles

He founded the Benz & Cie. motor vehicle company soon after and began mass producing his vehicles. He was among the first to introduce the spark ignition system, and he also developed the first gasoline-powered truck, the Benz Patent-Motorwagen. He also developed and patented the first four-stroke engine, as well as the first engine to use gasoline as a fuel.

He developed the first crash test dummy, the first adjustable steering wheel, the first padded dashboard, and the first airbag.
