Brighton just defeated Chelsea FC 4 goals to 1. In a match played at home of Brighton under a new coach, Roberto De Zerbi who is having his first win after taking over the team from Graham potter who left the club for Chelsea.
In a tension soaked match for Chelsea that got them incurring two own goals due to pressure from the home team, the first goal of the match was scored by Trossard assisted by Mitoma just 5 minutes into the game while Loftus-Cheek and Chalobah scored own goals in the 14th and 42nd minutes of the match respectively.
The first half ended 3-0 in favour of Brighton but 3 minutes into the second half of the game, Chelsea scored a goal by a header from Kai Havertz who was assisted by Gallagher and that made the score line 3-1 in the 48th minutes of the game. Goalkeeper Kepa Arizabalaga could not start the second half with the team as he was substituted by Edouard Mendy.
At the 90 minutes full time, the match was 3-1 against Chelsea and all fans and viewers had thought the game would end with the same margin but surprisingly just at the dying minute, 92 minutes specifically, Brighton sealed up the winning with the fourth goal by P gross who ended the match 4 – 1 in favour of Brighton. It is on record that the last time Brighton defeated Chelsea in any competition was in 1933.
