Arsenal have been neck and neck with Manchester City in the Premier League title race over the past couple of seasons, and they are just starting to make inroads as a threat in the Champions League knockout stages.
But Arsenal are still a true top goal-scorer away from being a juggernaut at the Champions League level capable of challenging true heavyweights Real Madrid, Manchester City, and Bayern Munich.
In Kai Havertz, Arsenal have unearthed a top center-forward, and Gabriel Jesus is a very good footballer despite his flaws as a finisher.
However, Arsenal need a true No. 9 profile and box presence on the transfer market. Overpaying for Victor Osimhen or Ivan Toney may not be in their best interests, but for a modest 60 million pounds, Arsenal could snag their ideal option.
According to a report from The Telegraph, Arsenal are pursuing RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko, who could be signed for a reasonable 64 million pounds due to a release clause.
Sesko is also on the radar of rivals Chelsea as a possible Victor Osimhen alternative, and because he is both younger and half the price of the Napoli star, he could become the Blues’ preferred option.
For Arsenal, Sesko checks off a lot of boxes. He is young, coming off a good season with double-digit goals for Leipzig, and he is a great finisher who thrives in the box.
Sesko is affordable and has the profile Arsenal wants at striker. He looks like the ideal striker signing.
