In less than three weeks of a ‘jollof rice debate’ by two former African Presidents, His Excellencies John Dramani Mahama of Ghana and Ian Khama of Botswana in the African most rated luxury hotel, ‘The Delborough Lagos’, the Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, Gaston Browne had also have his memorable experience in the Lagos Island presidential lodge.
The Prime Minister who stayed and was hosted in ‘The Delborough Lagos’ during his visit to Nigeria by the Chairman/CEO of AirPeace Airline, Chief Alex Onyema gave the open invitation to the investor during a Business Forum meeting with Nigerian business community.
Browne, accompanied by his wife, Her Excellency, Mrs. Maria Vanessa Bird-Browne, commended the investor, Dr. Stanley Uzochukwu for bringing the vision for such a world class hotel to reality in Nigeria and requested a replica of the edifice in his country, Antigua and Barbuda.
He used the occasion to woo other Nigerian business leaders and investors to come and invest in his country for mutual development gains.
The convener of the business forum, Chief Onyema, in a statement shared on the official Instagram page of the AirPeace (@flyairpeace), said the meeting was a strategic avenue for the two countries, Nigerian and Antiguan governments to discuss business opportunities.
He said, “Yesterday, we had a business forum with the Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, Gaston Browne, who wooed Nigeria’s business community to come and invest in his country.
“It was a strategic avenue for both Nigerian and Antiguan governments to also discuss opportunities for mutual development gains.”
