Not during I would say. These became operational after the war

Very rare catch. These were pre-production models. These were the only two that saw service in World War 2.

One has to wonder how the P-80 would do against the Me-262?

This is correct. Four P-80s reached Europe before V-Day. Two were based in England. These two YP-80s did fly recon in Italy in the final weeks of the European war.

Before World War II ended, however, two American pre-production Lockheed YP-80A Shooting Star fighter jets saw limited service in Italy with the USAAF on reconnaissance, in February and March 1945.[14] Because of delays in delivery of production aircraft, the Shooting Star saw no actual combat during the conflict.[15]

Wrong. It was after World War 2. The F-80 arrived to late to see combat.
The Gloster Meteor was the only allied jet-propelled aircraft to see action in the conflict.

Not in any other aspect except design, they look ancient in comparison to the Me-262.
