In a new development, Wizkid has once again taken to his Instagram page to continue to slam his fans and his followers, as well as some unnamed people.
This time around, he expressed that all the remaining bastards who are still trolling him should try and eat first. He also announced that he was awake while asking people if they’ve eaten.
Now recall that just 5 hours ago, Kemi Filani had reported that Wizkid had taken to Instagram to try to justify his reason for expressing that he did not want to be labelled as just an Afrobeat artist.
The Nigerian music star had previously, while announcing his new album, cautioned Nigerians against trying to group him as an Afrobeat artist. He further warned bloggers against posting his new album. However, Wizkid did not even stop there. He went on to tell people who fell in love with him during his previous eras to refrain themselves from downloading his new album because it was a completely new sound.
However, his statement did not sit well with people who took to social media to blast him for his derogatory words and his disrespect to Afrobeat music.
Defending himself, Wizkid revealed that he was not trying to make his music to be stereotyped or boxed. He further told Nigerians to educate themselves properly. He revealed that even though he was an African artist, he did not want to keep creating sounds that were just for Africans.
He also further noted how despite how good African music is, they keep on nominating them in one category which is the Afrobeat music scene. He further revealed that he was not just Afrobeat and that Made In Lagos as an album was a fusion of different sounds and should not just be grouped as an Afrobeat sound.
