The All Progressives Congress, APC, National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, has said the Super Eagles of Nigeria has justified President Bola Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda with their performance at the Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, in Ivory Coast.
Ganduje urged the Super Eagles to bring home the AFCON trophy to Nigeria on Sunday.
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Edwin Olofu, Ganduje said the Nigerian team showed character and grit in the encounter.
“I congratulate the Super Eagles on their victory against Bafana Bafana of South Africa. I want to particularly commend them for the character they displayed today and in the previous matches,” he said.
“The Eagle’s victory has justified the renewed hope agenda of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration. That is an indication of the true spirit of Nigerians.
“I urge them to go ahead and bring back home the coveted trophy. The country is proud of their doggedness. Up Super Eagles! Up Nigeria!”
