Manchester United has reportedly submitted a €100 million bid for Nigerian winger Ademola Lookman, according to Spanish outlet Fichajes.
The Atalanta player is also garnering interest from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), which has made a similar offer, resulting in a tight competition for the 27-year-old’s services.
His stock rose considerably, after he led Nigeria to the AFCON 2023 final, and Atalanta to the Coppa Italia final.
Lookman also scored a spectacular hat-trick to help the Serie A team win the UEFA Europa League.
His great performances helped him reach 14th in the 2024 Ballon d’Or rankings.
Lookman has been a notable player in Serie A this season, with remarkable pace, agility, and offensive variety.
The 27-year-old could be headed to Manchester next year, with Ruben Amorim ready to sanction a €100m bid, which would make Lookman the most expensive African footballer ever.
Although Amorim will be given a limited transfer budget, he is eager to make key additions and feels Lookman will be vital during his time at Old Trafford.
