Nigerian Afrobeat singer Kizz Daniel has called for prayers from his fans as he loses his mother-in-law.
Taking to the micro-blogging platform Twitter, now known as X, he revealed that his wife just lost her mother to breast cancer, and he is mourning with her. He urged his fans to say a prayer for the deceased.
“My wife lost her mom to breast cancer, and I’m here mourning with her. Say a prayer for her mom, Vaddicts”.
Rumors made rounds in the middle of the year that Kizz Daniel’s marriage was on the rock. The whole rumor started when he made a tweet about the requirements for breaking up with him. When the rumors were still going on hot, Kizz Daniel didn’t address any of them, and that seemed to quell it down a bit.
To shut down the rumors, Kizz had posted pictures of himself and his wife, while promoting one of his songs. Kizz wore a Lagbaja-inspired face mask and attire, while his wife dressed in a maxi dress that matched his outfit. Netizens were left in a rot, with many of them pondering on the importance of minding their business.
The Afrobeat singer had slammed a lady who accused him of leaving his wife to chase after a lady of the night. Kizz Daniel responded by calling him an ‘Oloribu,’ which is a shady word in the Yoruba language.
Recall that in March, Kizz Daniel left many stunned when he revealed he has been married since 2020. The singer confirmed that he got married in a conversation with his fans, where he said his woman used to wake up by 4:30 am to make him breakfast.
The couple welcomed male triplets in 2021; unfortunately, one didn’t survive. A year after keeping the identity of the mother of his children private, he unveiled her to the world in celebration of Mother’s Day.
While he was married, Kizz Daniel was romantically linked to actress Iyabo Ojo’s daughter, Priscilla, in 2022. The two raised eyebrows after Kizz flew into London, and Priscilla, who was in Dubai on vacation, flew in to join him in the country. Blogger, Cutie Julls alleged that Priscilla went to Kizz Daniel’s booked apartment and was with him throughout the week. The daughter of Iyabo had also accompanied the singer to his Manchester show and had arrived at the venue with Kizz Daniel in his Bentley.
