It is OBVIOUS WHY THEY BURIED IT. It is in a volatile earthquake zone.after a thousand years of creating it, not doubt the earth moved and toppled some of it… so wise men thought it best to “pack it” to protect it and preserve its “powers”, still standing. Just covered it n small stones.
Think of the covering rock material as “packing peanuts”. Keeping the ancient powerful
Moment and its associated ju-ju in good shape.
Now the question begs after the massive quake in Turkey n Syria recently… what is the current condition now that it’s been uncovered.
Amazing what is hidden under ground!
Being an archeologist must be (or at least can be) so exciting
I would love to see this place. I didn’t even know it existed when we went to Turkey.
I would love to visit this area. Apparently there are many more sites in the surrounding area that remain unexcavated and this was part of a cluster of places.
Although it can’t reasonably be done, what I’d really like to see is what is underneath this site. We know that humans almost always built on top of the original construction. Could be that there’s another 10,000 years of building underneath what we can see today.
I’d love to see this site
Well they found two other sites (farer north)that pre date this find! Same buildings but older.. and yes they were ALL buried on purpose!!!!
I heard it was the first place the Rolling Stones played back in 60, 000 BCE.
Fantastisk upplevelse att besöka denna stad och civilisation som är äldre än Ur i Mesopotamien!👍👍
