Borussia Dortmund’s incredible fine list leaked which includes sitrct mobile phone policy

Nuri Sahin appears to be taking no prisoners in his new role as Borussia Dortmund head coach.

That’s if the Bundesliga side‘s leaked fines list is anything to go by, with the former Dortmund midfielder and Liverpool loanee seemingly favouring a no-nonsense approach with his players.

Fans will have become used to witnessing the staggering amounts of money professional players are expected to stump up for falling short of their expected conduct.

In 2019, it was revealed that Chelsea‘s first-team stars were hit with £20,000 fines for arriving late for the start of training, while Wrexham‘s 2023/24 rule book included a £50 penalty for swapping shirts.

And it’s fair to say that Dortmund’s regime is just as unforgiving, with a German social media account claiming to have uncovered the hefty charges their stars face for breaking club rules.

With the leaked list dating for last season under former boss Edin Terzic, it is believed to still be in use under his successor Sahin, who took charge in June having previously served as his assistant.

According to German publication Bild, the list circulating online includes fining players €100 (£83) per minute if they are late to scheduled events, such as training and physio sessions.

This then rises to €3,000 (£2,499) if a player is late on a matchday, and €5,000 (£4,166) should they miss a scheduled club event entirely.

Meanwhile, failing to show up for a weighing session appears to be slightly less serious, with this demanding a €250 (£208) payment, the same cost as wearing incorrect clothing.

The German giants place a strong emphasis on player-fan relations, with team members reportedly fined €2,000 (£1,666) if they fail to sign autograph cards, and €500 (£416) for refusing to sign shirts.

Elsewhere, use of mobile phones at the dining table or during physio appointments and club engagements comes at a €100 price.

Players are also expected to respect their work place, and are required to fork out the same amount if they leave the training area messy or strewn with discarded kit.

Given that success Dortmund enjoyed under Terzic last campaign, it is hardly surprising that Sahin would be keen to maintain his predecessor’s high standards regarding player conduct.

Despite finishing a disappointing fifth in the Bundesliga, Terzic’s side reached the Champions League final, ultimately missing out on glory in a 2-0 defeat to European specialists Real Madrid.

With this the former head coach’s final game in charge before opting to leave his role, Sahin will now be keen to build on his predecessor’s strong work in Europe.

Jurgen Klopp Makes His Borussia Dortmund Return To Insane Reception From The Fans!

After winning his first Champions League game in charge with a 3-0 victory away to Club Brugge, the 36-year-old now turns his attention to an exciting home clash with Scottish champions Celtic.

His team head into the encounter off the back of a 4-2 league win over VfL Bochum, continuing their solid start to the campaign which sees them fifth after winning three of their opening five games.
