I wish to commend President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing Ms Deborah Farida Ibrahim as a member of the Governing Council of the University of Calabar, Cross River state. With this appointment, Mr President has demonstrated that he is a leader with vision, strategic plan and a leadership recruitment magic wand, which are prerequisites for any nation aspiring to attain substantial leap. Farida Ibrahim has shown over the years that she is one of those people with the charisma and talent to move the University of Calabar, one of the brightest citadels of knowledge and excellence, to greater heights.
I also seize this opportunity to congratulate the appointee, Ms Deborah Farida Ibrahim, for the recognition accorded her by our nation. It is, indeed, a call to national service. I urge her to use this opportunity to contribute positively to the growth and development of not only the University of Calabar but also the nation at large

Your aggregation of the best brains of our nation is assisting you to lead our country on the path of accelerated development and prosperity. This is a quality which sets you apart from other leaders who make appointments based on ethnicity, tribe, religion and other parochial considerations.
